We aim to provide extensive services in relation to family law, divorce and matrimonial/financial settlements, handling with sensitivity and understanding situations which are often difficult and stressful. Often it is possible to resolve matters by negotiation but if necessary there are Court procedures to ensure that the individual can obtain a fair and appropriate resolution. We will explain the procedures involved and use experienced Counsel where necessary to ensure the best possible outcome.  It is important for us to help clients realise that they can be financially independent and often take back control of their own lives if this has been an issue within a marriage.

 

It is sometimes possible to make an application for legal aid to assist you in your case whether a claim or Divorce and Ancillary (Financial) Relief. This can be of great assistance and limit the financial implications for the individual. However, it is means tested and if a financial award is achieved there may be monies due back to the Legal Services by way of a Statutory Charge. We will assist you in making an application for legal aid.

It is a good idea to have your Will updated following a legal separation or Divorce to ensure you benefit the people of your choice.
